Learning Communities

The Umoja and Puente Learning Community space is located in the Learning Resource Center (LRC) in room L-106.

The LEAP and Lavender Learning Community space is located in the LRC in room L-113

The American Indian & Alaskan Native Student Success Center is located in the LRC in room L-104

THe Rising Scholars Program is located in the Learning Communities Center in the LRC in room L-105

These spaces are designed for individual and small-group use, as well as community meetings, classes, and events. 

Puente Project

The Puente Project helps to prepare educationally disadvantaged students for college admission and success through its combination of accelerated instruction, intensive academic counseling, and mentoring by members of the community. Its mission is to increase the number of Hispanic and other educationally under-represented students who enroll in college, earn degrees, and return to the community as leaders and mentors to future generations.

Umoja Program

LEAP (Leveraging Education for AAPI Success)

LEAP (Leveraging Education for AAPI Progress) is a new learning community that supports students interested in medical and health fields through their first year of college with resources, paid internship opportunities, & AAPI cultural activities.
