STUDENT HEALTH SERVICES UPDATE
Our comprehensive range of health and medical services includes adult immunizations and vaccines, birth control counseling, blood pressure checks, emergency contraception, fentanyl test strip distribution, naloxone distribution, pregnancy testing, sexually transmitted disease and infection screenings and treatments, a limited smoking cessation program, tuberculosis testing for students, and limited vision screenings.
Moreover, we are proud to announce that mental health counseling services will also be available during the fall term of 2024. We are committed to supporting the holistic well-being of our community.
Flu shots are now available at SJCC Student Health Services while supplies last! By appointment only. Please call (408)288-3724 for availability.
- Efective November 22, 2024, the Student Health Services front desk will be closed on Mondays and Fridays. The office will ONLY be open for students/staff with scheduled appointments during those days. For any questions or concerns, you may leave a detailed voicemail to our phone and we will return your call as soon as possible.
- Student Health Services will be closed on January 27, 2024 and will open on January 28, 2024. For any inquires, please feel free to leave a detailed voicemail to our phone and we will respond as soon as possible.
APPOINTMENTS:
You must bring a picture ID (i.e.: student ID, driver’s license, etc.). If you are more than 5 minutes late to your appointment, it will need to be rescheduled.

Health Services
SJCC Student Health Services support a healthy learning environment. We provide health and wellness services so
our students can be at their best, in and out of the classroom. All of your information is kept confidential and private! We provide services tailored
towards minor injuries and conditions.
We are not an emergency services provider, and we are not a replacement for ongoing long-term
primary care (continuity of care).
SJCC Health Services ensure the privacy and security of all health information. All services are confidential as defined by the Federal Regulations Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

If this is an emergency, you are in a mental health crisis and need immediate assistance please call Santa Clara County Mobile Crisis Response at 1-800-704-0900 and select 2 or call 911 ask for a CIT officer, and for Mobile Crisis to be notified. If on campus call campus police at (408) 270-6468.
The San José Evergreen Community College District stocks and distributes fentanyl test strips through Police Services and Student Health Services. Fentanyl test strips can be used to determine if drugs have been mixed or contaminated with fentanyl to reduce the risk of overdose. Written instructions on how to properly use fentanyl test strips shall be distributed together with the fentanyl test strips. Written instructions include visual aids and links to online close captioned videos. Fentanyl test strips are free.

The San José Evergreen Community College District stocks and distributes Naloxone
(also known by the brand name of Narcan) through Police Services and Student Health
Services. Naloxone is a federally approved medication to reverse the effects of opioid
overdose. The California Department of Public Health has provided training for assigned
personnel and written protocol has been produced to ensure health and safety. Written
instructions on how to properly use Narcan shall be distributed together with Narcan.
Written instructions include visual aids and links to online close captioned videos.
Narcan is free.
