Some course names have changed

Here are the updates:

  • Intro to Public Speaking (formerly COMS 020) is now COMM C1000
  • English Composition (formerly ENGL 001A) is now ENGL C1000
  • Critical Thinking (formerly ENGL 001C) is now ENGL C1001
  • Political Science (formerly POLSC 001) is now POLS C1000
  • General Psychology (formerly PSYCH 10) is now PSYC C1000
  • General Psychology Honors (formerly PSYCH 10H) is now PSYC C1000H
  • Statistics (formerly MATH 063) is now STAT C1000
  • Support for Statistics (formerly MATH 063X) is now STAT 1000X

OPEN ENROLLMENT POLICY

It is the policy of the District that, unless specifically exempted by statute, every course, course section or class, the average daily attendance of which is to be reported for state aid, wherever offered and maintained by the district, shall be fully open to enrollment and participation by any person who has been admitted to the College(s) and who meets such prerequisites as may be established pursuant to Title V of the California Administrative Code, commencing with Section 58100.

To register for classes, log in to the Self-Service Portal. Navigate to the Registration tab, search for available classes, add them to your schedule, and confirm your registration.

Yes, SJCC offers "Fast Finish Classes" that begin in September and October, allowing students to complete courses in 8 to 12 weeks. These classes are ideal for staying on track with your academic goals. SJCC also offers "Late Start Classes" that begin at a later time after the semester starts.
