The mission of the San José City College Outreach Department is to recruit and attract students from diverse backgrounds to SJCC, support prospective students in their transition to college, and work in collaboration with college programs and services, local high schools, and community partners to promote college access and success.
This team is here to support your communities and their diverse goals. Whether that be career, collegiate or personal and professional aspirations. San José City College offers a variety of pathways and support programs for our students to help successfully guide them through their post-secondary journey. Patricia Romero is the Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator at San José City College. With more than 25 years in the community college system, she has held many roles that shaped her passion for helping students succeed. Patricia enjoys guiding others through their educational journey and sharing her experience with the community.

Gabriela Garcia is an Outreach and Recruitment Specialist at San José City College. A San José native, she graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Environmental Studies—Go Gauchos! In her free time, Gabriela loves scrapbooking, listening to SZA, and exploring the outdoors.

Gabriela Gonzalez Gomez is an Outreach and Recruitment Specialist at San José City College. Originally from Guatemala and raised in the Bay Area, she earned her B.S. in Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. Outside of work, Gabriela enjoys skydiving and hopes to earn her solo license soon.
