Important Student Parking Information For Fall Semester
For additional parking information, please visit the District website. We strive to provide accurate and current details regarding parking availability, regulations, and any updates that may affect your parking experience.
There are numerous parking lots and street parking available as identified on the map below. Here are some important rules and resources to be aware of when parking on campus:

Students and visitors must not park in staff lots, or they will be subject to parking fines.
- All vehicles parked in staff lots must display parking permit issued by the District or have a registered digital permit.

Directions
For a scenic drive, take the Interstate 380 west exit from the airport. After a few miles, merge onto Interstate 280 south, renowned as one of the most beautiful highways in the world. Continue south until you pass the Interstate 880/Highway 17 interchange, then take the Bascom/Leigh exit. At the top of the exit ramp, San José City College will be on your right, with an entrance to the parking lot at the stoplight.
Alternative Route (Faster, but Busier)
For a quicker, but often more congested route, take Interstate 101 south from the
airport to San José. At the Interstate 880/Highway 17 interchange, merge south toward
Los Gatos. Exit onto Interstate 280 south and, shortly after entering the freeway,
take the Bascom/Leigh exit. The college will be on your right at the top of the ramp,
with a parking lot entrance at the stoplight.
Take Interstate 880/Highway 17 north toward San José. When you reach the Interstate 280 interchange, take the off-ramp for Interstate 280 south. Stay in the right lane and immediately exit at Bascom/Leigh. At the top of the ramp, you’ll see San José City College on your right, with the parking lot entrance located at the stoplight ahead.
If you're coming from Northern California through San Francisco, you can take either Interstate 101 or Interstate 280. Once on either route, follow the same directions as from San Francisco International Airport to reach San José City College.
Take Interstate 880 south toward San José. When you reach the Interstate 280 interchange, exit onto Interstate 280 south. Stay in the right lane and take the immediate exit at Bascom/Leigh. At the top of the ramp, you’ll find San José City College on your right, with the parking lot entrance at the stoplight.
Take Interstate 5 south and, just below Stockton, merge onto Interstate 205 west. Interstate 205 will turn into Interstate 580. At the Interstate 580/Interstate 680 interchange, take Interstate 680 south. As Interstate 680 merges with Interstate 280 near Interstate 101, continue on Interstate 280. Exit at Leigh Avenue, turn left, and cross over the freeway. The entrance to the college parking garage will be on your right, about half a block after crossing Moorpark Avenue.
Travel north on Highway 101 until you reach Highway 85. Merge onto Highway 85 and follow the signs for the Interstate 880/Highway 17 exit north. Continue north on Interstate 880/Highway 17, and when you reach the Interstate 280 interchange, take the off-ramp for Interstate 280 south. Stay in the right lane and make an immediate exit at Bascom/Leigh. At the top of the ramp, San José City College will be on your right, with the entrance to the parking lot at the stoplight.
