MMR/TB Immunization Clearance

International students are required to have proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR). This may be in the form of proof of vaccination with the MMR vaccine or a blood test (titer) that confirms immunity. Proof of immunity (in English) can be submitted if you received these vaccinations in your home country. One dose of MMR is adequate for an adult. Students in health care provider fields are at higher risk and need documentation of two doses.

Tuberculosis (TB) clearance is also required and can be assessed through a skin test or a blood test. (The blood test is recommended by the Santa Clara County Public Health Department for clients with a history of the BCG vaccine.) TB clearance can only be accepted if conducted within the last year.

TB tests are free. TB blood tests, MMR vaccines, and MMR titers can be obtained for a fee through Student Health Services at SJCC. Fees can be reimbursed through filing a claim with the international health insurance provided by the International Student Program.

Tuition & Fees

All tuition and fees must be paid within two weeks of the start of the semester and before the Add/Drop deadline. International students should complete all payments once you have finalized your schedule. All payments should be made via your Self-Service account.

Make a Payment

Tuition and fees must be paid to register your immigration record on SEVIS and to obtain your “Continued Attendance I-20.”

SJCC does not offer payment plans. Failure to pay tuition and fees by the deadline is a violation of your International Student Contract and may result in academic holds and may risk your immigration status.

“Continued Attendance I-20”

Continued Attendance I-20s will be provided to students after the start of the semester once they have been registered in SEVIS, have provided all required documents and information, and meet all enrollment requirements.

Required Documents and Information:

  • Be registered at full-time status
  • Submit all required documents and information
    • Passport
    • Copy of Visa
    • I-94
    • International Student Contract
    • U.S. address and contact information
  • Pay all tuition and fees

Please contact the ISP Office if you need your I-20 due to an emergency or other reason before the start of the semester.
