International Students Program - Educational Plan

What is a Student Education Plan?

A Student Education Plan is a planning tool that you and your counselor create together based on your future academic and career goals.

All students are required to have an Education Plan with the counseling department after arriving, the follow-up education plan for each next semester is recommended but not required.

 

Why is it important to have an  Education Plan?

  1. Reach your academic goal. It's a roadmap to ensure that you know what you have to do and when you have to do it.
  2. Know what achieving your academic goal entails.
  3. Verify you are taking the right number of units in any one semester.
  4. Create well balanced semester schedules including: course-load, work hours, extracurricular activities, and/or other commitments.
  5. Complete the appropriate coursework by the time you are ready to graduate and/or transfer.
  6. Register for classes earlier.
