The SPOT Program Mapper
San José City College is proud to announce the creation of The SPOT Program Pathways Mapper (PPM), an online tool designed to assist students learn of the courses required and corresponding sequence to earn a certificate or degree and transfer to a four-year university. PPM provides students with access to print their program map to facilitate course registration, and provides direct links for students to make an appointment with an academic counselor and register for courses. In addition, PPM includes career exploration based on program of study along with average salary and job growth projections.ADVANTAGES

The Student Pathway to Opportunity & Transfer (SPOT) is San José City College’s version of Guided Pathways designed around eight clearly defined areas of study:

- Personal & Career Exploration

Program Pathways Mapper serves as an online tool and does not replace the need for students to meet with an academic counselor to develop or update a student educational plan. This is particularly important for students with credit for prior learning, standardized test scores, returning college students, and students who plan to transfer to private or out-of-state universities.
