WHAT WE DO
We provide research consulting, support, facilitation and technical assistance to college faculty, staff, administrators and students. We also provide support for accountability reporting related to accreditation, state/federal requirements and grants. Our services include:
- Lead and facilitate accreditation activities
- Conduct college-wide research for institutional planning
- Serve on campus committees as data support
- Provide consultation on research design
- Assist with evaluation of programs
- Design reports and dashboards
- Provide support for Program Review
- Design and assist administering surveys
- Conduct focus groups and interviews
- Offer workshops and training on various topics related to research and institutional effectiveness
CURRENT GOALS
- Build accreditation activities into local practices
- Improve organizational capacities to use the internal report tool (CROA)
- Improve data access and support for decision-making

DATA RESOURCES
1. District Resources
CROA (Colleague Reporting and Operational Analytics)
Repository for internal reports, such as Enrolled Student Contact List, Graduates Contact List, Course Section Success/Completion by Term Report. Also, serves as Business Intelligence reporting tool for those who need to query and design their own custom reports. To request access, contact our office. Once you have access, you will be able to access it through single sign on (https://myapps.microsoft.com/

Results from Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE): Administered every other year during the Spring term, the CCSSE survey asks about student engagement, a key indicator of learning.
2. Statewide Resources
California Community College Chancellor's Office DataMart (CCCCO DataMart)
Provides wide array of basic information about students, courses, student services, outcomes, faculty and staff for all community colleges in California.
Student Success Metrics (New in 2019)
Provides a holistic view on student success. Organized around common goals such as adult education/ESL, short-term career education, and degree/transfer, the metrics capture progression along students' educational journey from recruitment to completion, transfer, and the workforce.
Student Success Scorecard (will be replaced by Simplified Metrics in 2019)
The Scorecard is a performance measurement system that tracks student success. The data tell how well colleges are doing in remedial instruction, job training programs, retention of students and graduation and completion rates. Data is shown disaggregated by gender, age and ethnicity. The Scorecard will be replaced by the Simplified Metrics in 2019.
LaunchBoard – Community College Pipeline Dashboard
Community college offerings, student characteristics, milestones, completion, and employment outcomes to support program review and planning.
LaunchBoard - Adult Education Pipeline Dashboard
Comprehensive, multi-level data on student demographics, enrollment, outcomes, types of services received, and employment using new adult education data and accountability metrics.
LaunchBoard - Strong Workforce Program Dashboard
Completion and employment data for examining long-term outcomes.
LaunchBoard – Guided Pathways Dashboard
First-year momentum points for evaluating college redesign efforts.
CTE Outcome Survey (CTEOS)
A statewide study to assess employment outcomes of students who have participated in career technical education (CTE) coursework at California Community Colleges. Includes a dashboard to explore the data.
DataQuest (K-12 Data from California Department of Education)
Provides reports about California's K-12 schools and districts.
3. UC/CSU Resources
Provides CCC to CSU Transfer by program/school and institution of origin.
Provides CCC to US Transfer by program/school and institutions of origin.
CSU Institutional Research and Analysis
Provides statistical reports for California State Universities.
Provides data on University of California System.
4. Nationwide Resources
IPEDS: The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data SystemData on enrollment, program completion, graduation rates, faculty and staff, finances, institutional costs and student financial aid. Can be used to compare our college to other similar institutions nationwide.
