Biography

Prof. Carol White is a Bay Area-based Animator and Artist with a deep passion for teaching. As an Illustrator, she embraces both traditional and digital media. With a strong background in Animation, she enjoys bringing concepts and ideas to life through design. She also loves experimenting across different mediums, bridging her extensive artistic knowledge to explore new creative possibilities.

Over the years, Prof. White has worked professionally as a Storyboard Artist, Concept Artist, and Compositor. At San Jose City College (SJCC), she teaches Digital Media Arts courses, drawing from her industry expertise. She is dedicated to sharing her passion for creative arts and actively promotes career opportunities for students through projects and club activities.

Her educational background, combined with her lifelong love of art, history, and film, continues to inspire her work. Some of her favorite themes include retro-futurism, teamwork, and self-reflection. She earned a BA in Animation from Loyola Marymount University (LMU) in 2008 and, during her time there, completed a summer internship at Cartoon Network Studios. In May 2011, she earned an MFA in Visual Development from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
