Biography
Gabriela was born in the beautiful country of Guatemala but was raised mostly here
in the Bay Area. She graduated from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities in 2020
with a B.S. in Family Social Science and a Certificate in Teaching English as a Second
Language. She moved back to the Bay in early 2021 to work with UC Berkeley’s Destination
College Advising Corps as a College Advising Fellow. Prior to working at San José
City College, Gabriela was part of the outreach team at West Valley College.
