Faculty & Classified Professionals

We encourage you to get to know the faculty and classified professionals at SJCC.

We’re all about Your Success!

Each employee group plays a key role in participatory governance and decision-making for the College.

Leaders within the AFT 6157, Academic Senate, CSEA, and Associated Students serve as advocates for the needs of community college students locally and at the state level.

Our dedicated classified staff offers services to help students navigate processes, and our team of managers and supervisors provide administrative oversight to programs and services.

Our faculty and staff not only teach and provide services to our students and each other, but they are also active in the community and their fields of expertise. We all feel that it’s important to be good citizens in our community and to support the city that supports us.

Want to get involved and give back to your college?
Join a committee and represent your constituents!

San Jose City College supports participatory governance by engaging all constituency groups through committees on campus. Get involved on campus and help to represent your constituency group while making a difference.

Standing SJCC Campus Committees report to the College Advisory Council or to the Academic Senate within the college. There are also district-wide committees reporting to the Chancellor on which SJCC has representation. Select a committee to view the committee’s charge, meeting days and times, current membership, and other pertinent information.
