It’s a process that helps colleges show the public that they have met certain standards to provide quality education. Plus, students who attend a school that has been accredited can easily transfer to other colleges and obtain work in their major field of interest. Who accredits the college? San Jose City College (SJCC) is evaluated by The Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC), an entity of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), and the next review is due in fall 2010.
